Cava Miquel Pons
Refactoring Cava Miquel Pons's WooCommerce without migrating platform.
Cava Miquel Pons was running its ecommerce, shop.cavamiquelpons.com, on WordPress + WooCommerce. The site had outdated versions of core, theme and plugins, plus a six-bottle minimum order set store-wide that capped conversion.
The project was a full overhaul of the ecommerce, improving every strategic, functional and user-experience aspect: architecture, design, usability, performance, SEO and conversion optimisation. After 4 months in production, sales were up ×12.4 and orders ×6.5 versus the same period the year before.
Three technical constraints that were capping conversion
Four workstreams on the same instance
The new ecommerce multiplied sales ×12.4 and orders ×6.5
Moving to Shopify or another SaaS platform would have meant losing indexed URLs, mass redirects, re-thinking templates and a recurring per-transaction fee. Keeping WooCommerce and refactoring the instance preserved six years of SEO history.

"For years the online shop just sat there and we had no idea what to do with it. Artick didn't replace it: they made it work. Now we sell direct to consumers every week, without losing what we'd built."
